new host!

Finally, I have applied for a web hosting service. For only US$ 7.77 a month, get 5Gb disk space and 10Gb/day bandwidth from PowWeb.com. Please put ronjie.com as your referrer ;-) Plus, if you apply now for a two year subscription, you get 14 months free! So, the website (www.ronjie.com) is all set until July 21, 2008! All I need to do now is update it. I have actually started with the photos (http://www.ronjie.com/photos), so check it out!

Until then... Say "jaa mata" to ronjie.tripod.com! I'll still probably retain the site for memories' sake (and also for additional 20Mb storage for I don't know what...)

too many

Try a search for "ronjie" on google.com ... There are too many of us! Just a year ago, you'd get only one or two pages of search results from google. Not anymore! It's a good thing I got this ronjie.com domain first! Actually I got it sometime back for free for one year, but back then I haven't yet heard of CTCD's existence so it was quite expensive. Oh well, now all I need to do is find a reliable webhost...

ronjie.com is alive!

The domain ronjie.com is now finally mine! I hereby would like to recommend you register your domain at CheaperThanCheapDomains (ctcd.com). It's just US$8.94 or PhP450 a year! Right now, I'm just redirecting to my free Tripod website at ronjie.tripod.com/ronjblog.html (this page!). In the future, I will also apply for cheap web hosting somewhere. =)

New BLOGS

I've got new BLOGS coming up soon:

* Coach Potato's Consumer Watch - Coach Potato goes about his life, and just like most human beings encounter NASTY businesses... Those who do not give complete change, those who do not know what customer service is, those who do not issue receipts, and those whose employees feel uncomfortable serving you. Yes, some of them sleep on the job, in front of the Coach... The Consumer, the ONE WHO PAYS for service just like you and me. In many of these cases, money is not the only thing that the Coach pays... You have to pay respect, pay with your soul and dignity, pay homage, pay patience, and many more to these stupid businesses.

* Coach Potato's Traffic Watch - Coach Potato goes about his life, and just like a law-abiding citizen that he is, follows traffic rules all the time, gets flagged down by traffic officers for a violation that was never really clear from the get-go, and sees hundreds of obvious traffic violators everyday who don't get caught. Poor Coach Potato, only the One who we don't see sees his simple little good deed of stopping in front of a pedestrian crossing when somebody's old Granny is about to cross.

* Japan 2005 - Hai, hai! Ronjie-san wa nihon-e ikimasu ne! Starting 15-APR, amari wakarimasu ka? O-sake o nomimasho! Kampai!

verse! finally!

before anything else... have you noticed that it's been like... almost three months since my last post! damn!

anyway, it has also been three months since... i first set-up "verse"... verse is... the life, music, and lyrics... of... me. haha. well since 1992 to 2002, that is. no real new songs since. none yet, at least.

actually i put up verse on my r@dyo <https://ronjie.tripod.com/radyo> website... but it hasn't really been updated since.... 1998? putting up verse on a blog actually helps me in uploading "verse" songs more easily.

anyway, click on the new link on the right for verse!

"who i want to meet"

i also had this on friendster but, anyway, i took it out to shorten my friendster profile...

I can only give you love that lasts forever / And a promise to be near each time you call / And the only heart I own / For you and you alone / That's all, that's all.//
I can only give you country walks in springtime / And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall / And a love whose burning light / Will warm the winter night / That's all, that's all //
There are those, I am sure, that have told you / They would give you the world for a toy / All I have are these arms to enfold you / And a love time can never destroy /
If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear / You'll be glad to know that my demands are small / Say it's me that you'll adore / For now and ever more / That's all, that's all ///

quote

I had this up on my friendster profile prior to this date and time that I have just taken it out:

"You see that glass of anisette (wine/cocktail) before you?" he went on. "Now, you just see the anisette. I, on the other hand, because I need to be inside everything I do, see the plant it came from, the storms the plant endured, the hand that picked the grain, the voyage by ship from another land, the smells and colors with which the plant allowed itself to be imbued before it was placed in the alcohol. If I were to paint this scene, I would paint all those things, even though, when you saw the painting, you would think you were looking at a simple glass of anisette."
