ako'y tutula,
mahabang-mahaba.
akoy' uupo.
tapos na po.

  translation:
i'll recite a poem, so long.
i'll sit down. it's done.

this is probably the coolest eight words of any single poetry i've ever saeen. it projects command & power while still showing some respect and humility (in the form of 'po'). then you could say it's a rebellion as he says one thing and does the other (from a proposed long oratory to a short-lived one). this has been a joke for so long now, and it's not really funny because it's not really intended to be really funny. it is probably in rebellion of those grade schools against their teachers who make them write poems like they're all natural-born poets, but only the greatest of their kiss-ass classmates gets all the credit. by the way, if you know the origin of this verse or its author, please email me.

two breaths in your presence
12:02 AM, 10 Feb '98

hold your breath
behold
beauty
for all the eyes to stare
for all the weak to seek
for all the strong to speak
for all the humans to fight for
exhale
ahh...
it passes again...
breathe
activities, stop
dark, light
hate, love
sadness, joy
life
cherish
learn to cherish
grasp
hold
the memory
the memories
love
thank you
feelings
good
hold
smile
breathe
exhale

truely
really
undoubtfully
forever

you.

I

care for
stay with
enjoy life with
live with
die with
trust
like
give everything to
give up everything for
do

you.
